Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz noodles egg, wheat, or rice
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • 4 –5 cloves garlic minced
  • cup soy sauce or low-sodium
  • 3 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • ½ cup water or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water slurry
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger optional
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: green onions sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken lightly with pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through; remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium. Add garlic (and ginger, if using) and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and water/broth; bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add cornstarch slurry; simmer until the sauce thickens and turns glossy.
  7. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat.
  8. Add noodles and toss until evenly coated.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish as desired. Serve warm.
