Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken

Tender slow cooker chicken coated in a rich brown sugar garlic sauce. Sweet, savory, and comforting, this easy crockpot recipe is perfect for busy weeknights, family dinners, and meal prep.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ½ tsp chili flakes for mild heat

Method
 

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker with olive oil.
  2. Place chicken in an even layer in the slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper, and olive oil.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender.
  6. Spoon sauce over chicken before serving.
  7. Optional: shred chicken slightly to coat with sauce.
