Method
- Lightly grease the slow cooker with olive oil.
- Place chicken in an even layer in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper, and olive oil.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender.
- Spoon sauce over chicken before serving.
- Optional: shred chicken slightly to coat with sauce.
