Sticky, sweet-spicy chicken wings coated in a glossy pineapple cowboy candy glaze. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and absolutely addictive—perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

  • For the Wings
  • 2.5 lb chicken wings drumettes & flats
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • For the Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cowboy candy sweet pickled jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp jalapeño syrup from the jar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes optional, to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or a wire rack.
  2. Pat wings dry. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Arrange wings in a single layer and bake for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
  4. While wings bake, add all sauce ingredients to a saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring, until thick and glossy.
  5. Toss hot wings in the sauce until fully coated.
  6. Return wings to the oven for 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use a wire rack while baking.
  • Adjust heat by adding more or less cowboy candy or chili flakes.
  • Sauce thickens more as it cools—don’t over-reduce.
  • Great in the air fryer: 380°F for 22–25 minutes.
