Perfect Air Fryer Steak with Garlic Butter

Ingredients
  

  • 2 striploin steaks 1-inch thick, or ribeye/sirloin
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil or olive/avocado oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper generous amount
  • Garlic Butter Optional
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter room temperature
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley

Method
 

  1. Let steaks sit at room temperature 10-15 minutes. Pat dry.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Rub steaks with oil, then season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place in air fryer basket (no overlapping). Cook 10-14 minutes (no flip needed): 10 minutes medium-rare, 12 minutes medium, 14 minutes medium-well.
  5. While cooking, mix butter, garlic, and parsley.
  6. Remove steaks, rest 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain and top with garlic butter.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

Use thermometer for precision: 135°F medium-rare, 145°F medium.
Bring to room temp and preheat air fryer for even cooking and best sear.
Adjust time for thickness: Add 4-6 minutes for 1½-inch steaks.
No flipping required—air circulation handles it.
Resting is key for juicy results.
