Longhorn Parmesan Chicken

Crispy, cheesy parmesan-crusted chicken that’s juicy on the inside and golden on the outside. An easy, restaurant-style comfort dish perfect for weeknights or entertaining.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Panko recommended
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  2. Pound chicken breasts lightly for even thickness.
  3. In one bowl, whisk eggs. In another bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into egg, then press firmly into the Parmesan mixture to coat both sides.
  5. Place coated chicken on the baking sheet. Drizzle or spray lightly with olive oil or butter.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  7. Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  8. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Freshly grated Parmesan gives the best flavor and texture.
  • For extra richness, add shredded mozzarella during the last 5 minutes.
  • Air fryer option: cook at 380°F (190°C) for 16–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Great served with pasta, salad, or roasted vegetables.
