- Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add pasta, beef broth, and milk. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in cheese until melted and creamy.
- Season with paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
- Rest 2–3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
Add a splash of milk or broth if sauce thickens too much.
