Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil optional
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli florets and sauté 2–3 minutes.
  5. Pour in beef broth and soy sauce. Stir in brown sugar and sesame oil.
  6. Add cornstarch slurry and simmer until sauce thickens.
  7. Cook until broccoli is tender-crisp. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.

Notes

Do not overcook broccoli to keep it vibrant.
Adjust sweetness or saltiness to taste.
