Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 lb baby potatoes halved
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
  4. Increase heat to high and add remaining oil.
  5. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes on each side. Do not overcrowd.
  6. Lower heat, add remaining butter and garlic, and stir to coat the steak.
  7. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
  8. Return potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.
  9. Cook for 1–2 more minutes to absorb flavors.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

• For extra crispiness, cook potatoes longer before removing.
• Don’t overcrowd the pan—steak browns better in batches.
• Add chili flakes for a spicy version.
• Use ribeye for maximum tenderness.
• Serve with salad, rice, or roasted veggies.
