Ingredients

  • 2 steaks ribeye, sirloin, or New York strip
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the Parmesan Cream Sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder optional
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)

Method

  1. Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  3. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Spoon melted garlic butter over the steaks for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet, then pour in cream, stirring to deglaze the pan.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder (if using). Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return steaks to the pan or drizzle sauce over them before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Let steaks rest before slicing to keep them juicy.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smooth sauce.
  • Add mushrooms or fresh herbs for extra flavor.
  • Reheat gently to avoid separating the sauce.
