Crockpot BBQ Pulled Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce your favorite
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth optional for extra moisture

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts or thighs into the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and coat well.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  5. Remove chicken and shred using two forks.
  6. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and mix into the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 10–15 minutes to absorb flavor.
  8. Add extra BBQ sauce if you prefer a thicker, richer finish.
  9. Serve warm in sandwiches, tacos, bowls, or over rice.
