Method
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook until fragrant. Lower the heat and stir in cream cheese and milk or broth, stirring until smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce and stir until well coated. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake until bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden. Let rest briefly before serving.
Notes
Soften cream cheese before cooking for a smoother sauce.
Adjust Cajun seasoning based on preferred spice level.
Cover with foil while baking if the top browns too quickly.
