Bang Bang Chicken Skewers

Juicy chicken skewers coated in a creamy, sweet, and slightly spicy bang bang sauce. This easy, crowd-pleasing recipe works perfectly as a main dish or appetizer and can be grilled, baked, or pan-cooked.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken
  • lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 –2 tablespoons sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar optional, for extra sweetness
  • Optional Garnish
  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Thread the chicken evenly onto skewers.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth. Set aside a portion of the sauce for serving.
  3. Cook the skewers using your preferred method—grill, bake, or pan-cook—until the chicken is fully cooked and lightly golden. During the final minutes of cooking, brush the chicken with some of the bang bang sauce.
  4. Remove from heat and drizzle or brush with the reserved sauce. Garnish if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water before cooking to prevent burning.
Reserve sauce separately for food safety.
Adjust spice level easily by changing the amount of sriracha.
