Ingredients
  

  • 1 package refrigerated croissant dough 8 triangles
  • 8 slices ham
  • cups shredded cheese Gruyère, Swiss, or Cheddar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard optional
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll croissant dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle (optional).
  4. Place ham and shredded cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll dough from the wide end toward the tip to form croissants.
  6. Whisk egg with milk or water and brush over croissants.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Avoid overfilling to prevent cheese leakage.
Best served warm for optimal texture and flavor.
