Baked Feta Pasta

A creamy, tangy, and delicious pasta dish made with roasted cherry tomatoes, a block of feta, olive oil, garlic, and fresh herbs. Easy, viral, and perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 block feta cheese about 7–8 oz
  • 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 –4 garlic cloves minced or sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz pasta fusilli, penne, farfalle, or rotini
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional
  • Red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the feta block in the center of a baking dish.
  3. Add cherry tomatoes around it and drizzle everything with olive oil.
  4. Season with garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes until tomatoes burst and feta is soft.
  6. Meanwhile, cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions.
  7. Remove the baking dish from the oven and mash the feta and tomatoes into a creamy sauce.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
  9. Stir in fresh basil and lemon juice if desired.
  10. Serve warm with extra herbs or chili flakes.

Notes

• Greek sheep’s milk feta melts best and gives the richest flavor.
• Add spinach, olives, roasted peppers, or grilled chicken for variations.
• For extra creaminess, stir in 2 tablespoons of pasta water.
• Leftovers can be reheated with a splash of olive oil.
